Colleen McMillian

Colleen McMillian is a musician, sound healer, audio engineer, certified nurse aide (CNA), and end-of-life caregiver whose work sits at the crossroads of creativity and compassionate care. With years of hands-on experience supporting elders and individuals with life-limiting conditions, Colleen is now deepening their clinical foundation by pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN), a path they are committed to with a projected graduation date of May 2029. This next step reflects their belief that holistic healing is most powerful when paired with rigorous medical knowledge.

With over 20 years in the audio industry, Colleen has worked on major productions including Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil, and currently freelances for corporate and theatrical production companies. Specializing in monitor mixing, corporate production management, and jazz and world music, they also bring their technical ear to the studio: recording, editing, mixing, and mastering music and audiobooks with equal precision.

As the owner of Sound Heals Inc. and Texas Pine Music (BMI) , Colleen’s original music blends atmospheric soundscapes, acoustic songwriting, jazz, and blues, inviting listeners to dig deep, open their hearts, and find healing and joy. This sonic approach carries directly into their sound healing practices, which they use to foster emotional expression, deeper connection, and comfort through life’s transitions. A trained end-of-life doula, Colleen envisions a practice where their diverse background in audio, holistic modalities, and nursing education converge to support individuals and families facing serious illness with both technical skill and deep empathy.

Whether performing with their tribute band, composing original works, or engaging in meaningful conversations, Colleen approaches every endeavor with a lighthearted, authentic spirit, always seeking growth, connection, and a richer understanding of what it means to heal. Their music can be found on all streaming platforms under the artist name Texas Pine.
